The choir at Maysville Presbyterian Church will be presenting its annual Christmas Cantata at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16. Maysville Presbyterian Church is located at 12945 W. James Anderson Highway in Buckingham.
Cedar Baptist welcomes everyone to its Christmas program on Sunday, at 6 p.m. Refreshments will follow in the fellowship hall.
Enon Baptist Church is having an “Unplugged Christmas” program on Sunday, Dec. 16, during the 11 a.m. worship service. Everyone is welcome.
What is the meaning of Christmas? Baptist Union Baptist Church Youth Ministry on 125 Baptist Union Road in Dillwyn presents messages about Christmas hymns and carols. The program will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
A last minute reminder about the Chamber of Commerce Christmas House Tour on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Visit five beautiful homes, including those of Amy Moss Lawhorne, Travis and Sarah Hicks, Kim Crump and Troy Wooten, Mike and Brenda Farrish, and Timothy and Jin Hae Fanter. As an added bonus, the Adams Museum, which features the collections of Spencer and the late Winnie Adams, has been added to the tour. Tickets can be purchased at Moss Motor Company and Special Touch Design Florist. If you have failed to get your tickets in advance, no fear. Tickets will be sold at the bus location (the former Dillwyn Primary School) from 3:30-4 p.m. on the day of the event.
A Christmas musical program and drama will be held at Concord Baptist Church on Sunday, Dec. 16, at 6 p.m. Come enjoy Christmas music with a choir, a skit and a play to bring in the Christmas spirit. Light refreshments will follow in the church fellowship hall. All are welcome. Concord Baptist Church is located at the intersection of Francisco and Deer Run Roads.
The Buckingham 4-H Livestock Club will hold its next meeting Monday, Dec, 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Buckingham Virginia Cooperative Extension Office. The program and main topic of focus will be record books. The club will also discuss sponsorships and will hold officer elections. In addition, a review of the club constitution and bylaws is on the agenda. Final details for the Christmas parade and float will also take place, as well as emphasis on ordering show animals. The Dillwyn Christmas Parade 2018 will take place on Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. Participants may obtain an entry form from Dillwyn Town Hall or contact Mayor Linda Paige.
