Hampden-Sydney College’s (H-SC) football team hosted Randolph-Macon College (R-MC) with the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) title and its accompanying automatic NCAA Division III playoff berth on the line for first time in 34 years, but the Tigers were not able to keep up with the Yellow Jackets. R-MC held a 21-0 lead at halftime and a 41-14 advantage after three quarters. H-SC was able to finish strong, outscoring the Yellow Jackets 21-7 in the final period, but it still ultimately fell 48-35. The Tigers finished the season with an overall record of 4-5, including a 4-3 record in the ODAC.
