Billy Gene Wiggins, 81 of Midlothian, VA, formerly of Green Bay, went to live with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 17, 2018, his mother Julia’s birthday.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Helen Covington Wiggins; parents WP and Julia Wiggins; and siblings Kenneth, Harold, Elva, Donald, Jewel, Joe, Enghabau, and Carol. He is survived by his daughter Denise Cauley (Robert) and son Mark Wiggins (Susan); grandchildren Amanda, Allison, Stephen, Lindsay, Taylor, Forrest, and Jonathan; great-grandchildren Joseph, Reese, and Harrison.

Billy was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in numerous callings. He was an Ensign signalman in the Navy from 1958-1963, serving on the USS Loeser and later during the Bay of Pigs on the USS John R Pierce. Billy was a retired mechanical instructor at Phillip Morris with 29 years of service.

Billy’s funeral service was previously held at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. N. Chesterfield, VA. Interment was held at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Legacy Hospice, 1801 Bayberry Ct., Richmond, VA 23226 or Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Administrative Medical Center, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, VA 23249.
