Buckingham boys win JRD cross country title

Buckingham County High School’s varsity boys cross country team never lost this season on its way to claiming the 2018 James River District (JRD) Championship, which it clinched Oct. 24 in South Boston. The squad will compete for the Region 2C Championship on Wednesday in Troutville at 3:30 p.m. The team’s top 10 runners are pictured above. They are, from left, Ahren Reeves, Caleb Walter, Jaden Bishop, Overton Temple, Tyler Moore, Ian Martin, DaQuan Tindall, James Moneymaker, Grant Martin and Dalton Stuple. When the JRD coaching honors were announced for cross country, the 2018 Boys Coach of the Year award went to Buckingham Head Coach Kish Heslip.
