On Aug. 23 members of the Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors and county officials attended Luck Stone’s open house. The open house included tours of the quarry, educational opportunities and a meet and greet with Luck Stone employees.

“Luck Stone is an excellent addition to Prince Edward County. The open house was a great way for them to show that they are playing an active role in our community,” stated Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors Chair, Pattie Cooper-Jones.

The new quarry opened last year in Prince Edward County off U.S. Route 460, about five miles west of Farmville. The Prince Edward plant is one of 24 operating locations across Virginia and North Carolina.
