Farmville-Prince Edward Historical Society President Jimmy Hurt, left, Longwood University’s Greenwood Library Archives Specialists Jamie Krogh center and Benedict Chatelain, right, examine items from the Historical Society archives. Greenwood Library recently signed an agreement with the Historical Society to preserve, store and make the archives accessible for research. Items from the initial loan included aerial photographs of Prince Edward County, 1902-1903 blueprints of the Farmville train station, and an extensive collection of photographs of historic markers from Westview Cemetery. After materials have been processed they will be available to the public for research. For more information, contact Jamie Krogh, Greenwood Library Archives Specialist, at (434) 395-2432.
