The Cumberland Community Christmas Mother program is in need of items and volunteers for the 2018 distribution season. In addition to staffing, items needed include new board games, new socks and clothing items. Donations of new items can be dropped off at Cumberland Social Services Monday-Friday between 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., at 71 Community Center Drive, Cumberland. Financial contributions can be made payable to Cumberland Community Christmas Mother and sent to P.O. Box 33, Cumberland, VA 23040. The committee will be meeting again on Sept. 4 at 9 a.m. in room C-8 at 71 Community Center Drive.
