Carolyn Watson Yeatts, 85 of Farmville, VA went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 29, 2018.
She was born on September 13, 1932 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee to the late Elmer A. and Mattie Ogle Watson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Homer H. Yeatts; daughters, Linda Yeatts Harvey of Richmond, VA, Diane Yeatts Gressett of Suffolk, VA; sister Virginia Price; brothers Robert Watson (Florence) and Frank M. Watson all of Farmville; three grandchildren; Ben Harvey, Jessica Harvey, Nicole Campbell; great grandchildren, Caleb and Alyssa Piker and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters; Georgia W. Wilkerson, Della Watson and Lynda Dale Watson.
She was a retired teacher of Prince Edward Academy/Fuqua School. She was a charter member of Heritage Baptist Church where she was active as a choir member, Sunday School secretary and served on other committees. She and Homer were avid Square Dancers through Southside Square Dancers for 20 plus years.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, August 1, at 1 p.m. at Heritage Baptist Church. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service starting at noon. Interment will be private.
