Buckingham County Majors All-Star baseball team

The Buckingham County Majors All-Star baseball team orchestrated a historic summer that ended with the squad being the recipient of the Dixie Youth Baseball Majors World Series sportsmanship award. Twelve teams qualified for the tournament. For the second straight year, the Buckingham boys went 5-0 in the state tournament to earn the right to represent Virginia in the World Series. This year, they went 2-2 in the World Series, becoming the first Buckingham team at any age level to ever win more than one World Series game.
