Back to school picnic

Spears Mountain Baptist Church will be hosting a community back to school picnic Saturday at 4 p.m. Hot dogs, chips, baked beans and soft drinks will be provided. This will be held rain or shine indoors at the church located in western Buckingham County at 106 Meadows Creek Road, Gladstone. The Church’s pastor, the Rev. Robert C. Wilson welcomes all area children and parents to come and enjoy a time of fellowship.

Judith Reynolds of Keysville visited with Betty and Don Meadows Friday afternoon. Besides enjoying fellowship they enjoyed pizza and watermelon.

Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith had dinner at Shogun Friday evening. After church Sunday they enjoyed having dinner at The Crazy Greek in Chesterfield. Haley and Payden Murdock, Steve Bolt, Flora Bolt, Jennifer Jones and baby Thomas enjoyed having lunch with Judy Bolt Sunday following worship service.

Friends and neighbors continue to pray for Michelle Walker, Judy Derflinger, Betty Meadows, Don Meadows and Betty Jean Bolt.

Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle welcomes you to worship with them each Sunday. Brodick Smithson will be with them this Sunday.

The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect welcomes you to come and worship with them every Sunday. Sunday school is at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m.

Calvary Chapel-Farmville welcomes you to worship with them Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. They ask you to join them each week Wednesday evening for Bible Study for all age groups at 7 p.m. The Church is located at 302 Industrial Park Road, in the former Stackpole- Carbone building.

The Remnant Church welcomes you to worship with them Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m.; Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m.; and Sunday nights at 6:30 p.m. The pastor is Jeff Spencer. The church is located at 1825 E. Third St., Farmville in the old Cedar Brook Restaurant building.

Concord Baptist Church, 12053 Francisco Road, Farmville welcomes you to its Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship service at 11 a.m. Concord Baptist will be holding its Homecoming Sunday, with lunch to follow the morning worship service.
