Robin Warren, of Cumberland, described the birth of her grandson, Wyatt Cole Eyler, as surprising. Little Wyatt’s birth was already special, but that he was born July 11 held additional meaning for the family.
Wyatt’s birthday will be shared with three generations of his family. His grandmother, Warren, and great-grandfather, Gerald Ellison, were also born July 11.
“He was actually due on the second, and they ended up taking him on the 11th,” Warren said. Wyatt was born at St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian.
Warren was born in 1968, exactly 50 years between her and Wyatt’s birth. Her grandfather, Gerald, was born in 1939, 29 years apart from Warren, and 79 years between him and his great-grandson.
Growing up, Warren said it was pleasant sharing her birthday with her father. “It’s always been twice as nice to have a birthday buddy, we say,” Warren said.
Warren, who owns Glory Reins Ranch, a nonprofit that assists victims of trauma through horseback riding off Plank Road, is excited to have the birthday tradition grow to three.
Warren said her father, after discovering his great-grandson’s birthday, was “completely touched.” Describing her father as sensitive and sweet, Warren said, “It was very meaningful to him.”
