Dr. A. Ahsan Ejaz joins Dr. Atul Bali and Holley Aderholt, NP in the Centra Medical Group Nephrology Center located in the Centra Southside Medical Center. Ejaz is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He is also a Hypertension Clinical Specialist.

A Nephrologist is a physician who specializes in kidney disease and hypertension. This type of medical doctor sees patients with acute and chronic disorders of the kidneys that may lead to kidney failure; this, in turn, interferes with the body’s ability to eliminate wastes and excess fluid. A Nephrologist can diagnose and treat such conditions with proper diet and medications and coordinating dialysis and transplant care if and when indicated.

Ejaz graduated from Semmelweis University Medical School, Hungary, Budapest. He completed his residency there and The University of Virginia Affiliated Hospital in Roanoke, Salem, Virginia. He completed his fellowship at Loyola University of Chicago. Ejaz placed first in the Scholastic Achievement Honor List, graduated summa cum laude, and received a full academic scholarship from Medical School. He received the Customer Service Key Award, and lastly, a Master Clinician Award from Shands Hospital and University of Florida. Currently, Ejaz is a faculty member at the Department of Medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
