Updated through Monday — Listed below are the results for the Dixie Softball games featuring teams from the Heart of Virginia that are competing in state double-elimination tournaments at the PEFYA Field of Dreams complex in Farmville. The Buckingham County Angels All-Star team is representing the Heart of Virginia in Madison Heights as part of the Dixie Softball Angels X-Play State Tournament.

Buckingham has now been eliminated from the tournament. It finished as the No. 3 team in the state. “Overall, I’m very proud of these girls,” Manager Brandon Morris said. “These girls worked very hard to get here, and they did great.”

This concluded the 2018 Dixie Softball SweeTees Tournament. Buckingham was the recipient of the Sportsmanship Award. “To say I am proud of these girls is an understatement,” Manager Ashley Tyler said. “They all have worked hard and should be proud of themselves and their teammates.”
