The public will have an opportunity to offer input on the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) secondary 6-year plan during a public hearing set for June 12.

The hearing will take place during the board’s regular meeting at 7 p.m.

VDOT Representative Carrie Shepheard said during the April 17 board of supervisors meeting that the current proposed projects for the 6-year plan included work on Route 685, Miller Lane; Route 669, Criss Road; Route 681, Bransford Road; Route 653, High Hill Road; Route 635, Pleasant Valley Road; Route 612, Trices Lake Road; Route 697, Jenkins Ridge Road and three sections of Route 608, Sports Lake Road.

Shepheard said three road projects, Route 735, Mt. Airy Lane, Route 703, Hunter’s Trail and Route 667, Carter Road are expected to be surface treated by the end of June.
