Barbara Lang Brannan

Barbara Lang Brannan, of Cartersville, Virginia, died May 28, 2018. She was born December 13, 1941 to the late Hurvey W. Lang and Janie Curran Lang. She was preceded in death by parents, stepfather, William A. Baker, daughter, Teresa Brannan-Harlow, grandson, Ryan Harlow, husband Richard H. Brannan, nephew, Tracy

Lang, and sister-in-law Ruth Lang, and her friend and companion, Raymond Carter. She is survived by her daughter, Tamara Brannan Glaser (Robert), of Williamsburg, Va. granddaughters, Hope Smith, Amy Crowell (Isaac) and grandson, Britton Glaser and three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Layla and Lily Crowell, her sister, EJ Lang Underwood (J.C.) of Charlotte NC, and two brothers, Marvin and James Lang of Cartersville, stepsister Bonnie Stinnett (Harold), three nephews, Donald and Douglas Lang and Danny Whigham, many cousins, one aunt, Nancy Kehoe, and two special friends IIona Sutton and Shirley Shores. Barbara worked for 45 years in the medical field. She was an active lifelong volunteer. She volunteered at the Cartersville Rescue Squad as an EMT for over 25 years.

Visitation was held in the Fellowship Hall at Cartersville Baptist Church, May 31 from 6-8 p.m. A memorial service was held at Cartersville Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on June 1.

A private burial will be held at Cartersville cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cartersville Baptist Church or Cartersville Rescue Squad.
