VDOT announces closures

LYNCHBURG — Highway work requiring road, lane and structure closures is scheduled May 7-13, weather permitting. In Buckingham County, pavement widening with rumble strips, guardrail replacement/upgrades and paving will take place through the summer months on Route 20 Route 15, Dillwyn to James River Bridge, Albemarle). Flaggers and pilot vehicles will control traffic. Crews will work shoulders on Route 633, work Rural Rustic projects on Routes 644 and 662. Contractor crews will perform surface treatment at various locations; delays are likely. Crews will cut brush, work surfaces and respond to customer concerns. In Cumberland County, crews will be performing surface treatment work at various locations; delays are likely. Crews will work surfaces, cut brush, repair drainage and respond to customer concerns. In Prince Edward County, crews will perform sign maintenance on U.S. Route 360, work on curve straightening project near Route 666, eradicate pavement markings in advance of surface treatment on Route 622, prepare for Rural Rustic project on Route 691, crews will surface treatment Routes 705 and 748, plant mix treatment at various locations. Crews will cut brush, remove debris, work surfaces and respond to customer concerns throughout the county; delays are likely.
