After falling 4-1 to host No. 3 Radford University yesterday, No. 2 Longwood University’s softball team edged No. 4 Campbell University moments ago in a Big South Conference tournament elimination game, 6-5.
At 5 p.m., the Lancers (38-15) will play either No. 1 Liberty University or once again face host Radford.
Campbell, No. 5 Gardner-Webb University and No. 6 Winthrop University have been eliminated, so the tourney is down to the Flames, Highlanders and Lancers.
