Lady Eagles track athletes honored

The Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors recognized at its Tuesday meeting the athletic achievements of the Prince Edward County High School (PECHS) girls indoor track and field team. The team finished third overall at the 2018 Virginia High School League Class 2 state championships. Additionally, the relay team of Jordan Booker, Naomi Jones, Mia Seay and Montiera Wynn won the 2018 4×400-meter state championship at Roanoke College with a time of four minutes, 20 seconds. This is the relay team’s second state championship as this same quartet won the matching event in outdoor track last year.
