Do you have wild animals in your backyard? Are you fascinated by the mystique that surrounds the Virginia Piedmont’s largest carnivorous mammals? The Central Piedmont chapter of Virginia Master Naturalists is excited to sponsor a community program that will help answer many of your questions about these often misunderstood animals on Wednesday, April 18, at 6 p.m. at the Barbara Rose Johns community library.

Learn fascinating facts, fiction and lore about bobcats, coyotes, bears and more. Actual pelts, skulls, and molded tracks will be available for you to touch and compare. Presenter, Katie Martin, is the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries Wildlife biologist for our Region. Her program will focus on the largest carnivorous mammals in the Piedmont area and it is suitable for all ages. Refreshments will be served.
