Members of the Heart of Virginia Master Gardeners will hold their annual plant sale May 5, at the Farmville Train Station from 8 a.m. until noon. Plants offered for sale will include herbs, tomatoes, hostas, perennials and annuals. In addition to selling plants, two programs will be offered. At 10 a.m. learn about “Proper Pruning.” In this program you will learn about the tools you need and helpful techniques to remember. The second program is at 11 a.m., “Starting a Butterfly Garden.” You will learn how to start a garden that attracts beautiful, colorful butterflies. The programs are free.
