Senior Crystina Kertsos of the Longwood University women’s golf team matched her season-best score with a three-over par 75 on Monday in the final round of the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate played at the 6,099-yard, par-72 Mimosa Hills Country Club in Morganton, North Carolina.
Kertsos posted even-par on Mimosa Hill’s back nine with a pair of birdies, as she matched the 75 she carded earlier this spring at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic. The round propelled Kertsos to a finish that put her in a tie for 37th.
Longwood finished 12th in the 16-team field after posting a final round 312 (+24) to finish the tournament with a 36-hole score of 311-312—623 (+47). Troy captured the tournament title with a tournament score of 297-298—595 (+19) while USC Upstate (598, +22), Elon (599, +23), James Madison (605, +29) and Wofford (605, +29) rounded out the top five teams.
The Lancers begin play in the 2018 Big South Championship on April 13 at The Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, South Carolina.
