Howard F. Simpson honored

The Simpson family joined the Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors, U.S. Sen. Mark Peake, Del. James Edmunds and U.S. Rep. Tom Garrett’s outreach director, Matthew Becker, to honor late Farmville 101 District Supervisor Howard F. Simpson, who died in February. His wife, Joan Simpson, was presented a copy of House Joint Resolution 377, approved by the 2018 Virginia General Assembly, which recognizes the lifelong legacy of public service to Prince Edward County by Supervisor Simpson. His wife was also presented a plaque and a U.S. flag, which was flown above the U.S. Capitol in honor of Supervisor Simpson. Pictured are, from left, front row, Del.
