Prince Edward County High School’s varsity girls basketball team achieved more during the 2017-18 season than it ever has since the school moved up to the Virginia High School League Class 2 level. The Lady Eagles won the 2017-18 James River District regular season championship, earned a berth in the state tournament with a win in the regional semifinals, and they were the Region 2A runner-up. In the photo above, they pose with the runner-up trophy after a competitive battle with Poquoson High School. Prince Edward finished the season with a 22-6 overall record.
