Frances Scott Lewis, 89, went to be with The Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2018. She was the daughter of Katheryn Young Scott and Willie Mann Scott and the wife of William (Bill) A. Lewis Jr., all of whom preceded her in death. She was born May 17, 1928, raised in Prince Edward County, and a lifetime member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. She leaves behind three children: Katheryn (Kathy) Woosley, Scotty Lewis, and Rodney Lewis (Kelly), six grandchildren: Nathan (Suzanne), Wendy (Rafa), Richard (Jo), Kat (Tyler), Bryan, and Skylar, and six great-grandchildren: Cristian, Xavier, Ben, Ella, Drew, and Austin.

Mrs. Lewis was a retired nurse, an active member of her church, loved the Lord, her family, cooking and caring for others. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her brother Willie Scott, her sister Eugenia Scott, and her son-in-law Harold Woosley.

A funeral service to honor her memory will be held at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 5083 Mt. Pleasant Road, Meherrin, VA on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home, 4910 Meherrin Rd. Meherrin, VA and following the funeral service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to FACES at 416 North South St. Farmville, VA 23901.
