Gracie and Emmett “Tubby” Ferguson celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday with a reception held at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Meherrin. A wealth of family and friends attended, enjoying fellowship, refreshments and photos of the Fergusons through the years. Tubby’s car was decorated with the sign “Still married” and a string of cans was tied to the back of the vehicle. The Fergusons were married March 1, 1958.
