Tigers win fourth straight in the pool

Hampden-Sydney College’s swimming team recorded its fourth straight win with a 149-44 victory over Bridgewater College on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers relay team won the 200-meter medley relay with a time of two minutes, 3.70 seconds, and the 200-meter freestyle relay team also won, finishing with a time of 1:51.63. Junior Hudson Elmore, pictured above, took top honors in the 800-meter freestyle, checking in with a 9:35.01 time. Freshman Eric Hope paced the field in the 200-meter freestyle, and freshman A.J. Howard won the 50-meter freestyle. Elmore earned his second individual win on the afternoon in the 400-meter individual medley, sophomore Brandon Koch won the 100-meter butterfly, Howard won the 100-meter freestyle, Tate Socha won the 100-meter backstroke and Howard won the 400-meter freestyle.
