Members of the Buckingham County High School (BCHS) JROTC were titled Overall Grand Champions for Operation Overlord during the D-Day Memorial Raider Meet held in Bedford. Ten teams were in the competition. BCHS students placed first in Rope Bridge with a time of 1:13; first in the physical fitness test; first in the litter carry; first in logistics relay (pointe du hoc); second in the 5 kilometer run and third in tire flip. Ian Martin was awarded the top male athlete and top male push ups at 71 push ups in one minute. Tyler Moore was awarded top male for one mile run with a time of 4:46 and Christian Poole was awarded top female for 54 sit ups in one minute.
