Emergency situations can happen anytime, particularly in the outdoors, representatives from Bear Creek Lake State Park cited in a news release.
An introductory program of the Survival Outdoor Skills (SOS) course will take place at the park’s Acorn Loop Shelter on March 24 at 1 p.m.
The course will include learning about and receiving 10 essential items that could be crucial for one’s survival, the release cited.
“These essentials could save your life if you are lost in the wilderness or simply help keep you comfortable while you wait for the tow-truck if your car breaks down on the side of the road,” the release cited. “The 10 essentials will be the foundation for other SOS programs offered.”
