A main water line break at Cumberland County Elementary School’s pump house has been repaired, representatives of the Cumberland County Volunteer Fire Department and the Cumberland County Public Schools division superintendent confirmed Tuesday.
A post from the fire department’s social media page cited that firefighters had been dispatched to the school Monday due to a fire alarm and had discovered the flooding upon arriving at the pump house.
Division Superintendent Dr. Amy Griffin confirmed the Monday incident.
“There was a main water line break in the pump house Monday evening,” Griffin said in a statement. “The pipe was repaired the same evening. There was no disruption to the operation of schools.”
