‘How much was his cut?’

Editor:
I perused Congressman Tom Garrett’s latest flyer to his constituents and noticed a discrepancy in his policies. On the one hand, he says he is in favor of reducing the national debt. This is a worthy goal. But then I noticed he strongly supported the passage of the recent tax cut. How can Mr. Garrett support a tax bill which will not only fail to reduce the national debt but add to it at amounts up to $1.5 trillion? Of course, he didn’t mention the real beneficiaries of the tax cut: the rich and large corporations.
The tax cut bill was passed with the intention of giving big money Republican donors an incentive to continue to fund congressional campaigns. As proof, there is a report that Speaker of the House Paul Ryan received a $500,000 bribe, I mean campaign contribution, from the Koch brothers only three days after passage of the bill which saves them $1 billion in taxes. For the sake of transparency, I would like to ask Mr. Garrett, how much was his cut?
