Hampden-Sydney College (H-SC) held a Roaring Twenties themed Winter Ball on Saturday. According to H-SC spokeswoman Parker Nixon, approximately 440 people attended the Student Finance Board and College Activities Committee-sponsored event. She said there isn’t a written record, but the ball has been held on and off for more than 40 years.

According to Nixon, students choose a theme each year.

“It’s typically held during the month of February and is open to all faculty, staff and students,” Nixon said.
