On Wednesday, Jan. 26, Cumberland County Middle School (CMS) was awarded a $500 donation from the Cumberland Convenience Store as part of the Educational Alliance program through Exxon Mobil. Educational Alliance focuses on improvements in math and science from pre-school to higher education and believes it is fundamentally important to encourage the next generation to pursue studies and careers involved in these fields. According to CMS administrators, these funds will be used at CMS to enhance the educational experiences available to students. “The school division was very appreciative of the donation and expressed their gratitude to Cumberland Convenience for their donation,” officials said in the release.
