Chamber music series presents music of Leslie Burrs

The Longwood University Chamber Music Series will present a concert by Philadelphia-based composer Leslie S. Burrs on Monday, Feb. 19. Free and open to the public, the concert will take place in the Molnar Recital Hall of Wygal Music Building at 7:30 p.m., with doors open at 7 p.m.
Leslie Burrs has been acclaimed as an award-winning flutist, composer and educator. He has appeared as guest soloist and composer with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Lancaster Festival Orchestra (Ohio), Baltimore, Atlanta, Louisville, Alabama, New Jersey, Charleston, Marin and Richmond Symphony Orchestras.
The program at Longwood will feature original chamber music compositions, arrangements and improvisations by Burrs. Burrs will appear with accompanist Mark Kramer at the piano, as well as Longwood University faculty members Lisa Edwards-Burrs and Charles Kinzer.
