Buckingham County High School’s young varsity boys basketball team showed impressive competitiveness earlier in the week with an overtime victory on the road and a strong defensive effort against the first-place team in the James River District.

On Tuesday, the Knights fell 47-31 at home to first-place Goochland.

“The Knights held the Bulldogs (No. 6 in 2A state) to their season low in points but could not secure the win in an off-shooting night,” Buckingham Head Coach Taylor Boyers said.
