Awards and new officers were presented during the Rice Volunteer Fire Department Awards Ceremony/Christmas Banquet on Dec. 10. Pictured above are, from left, Assistant Chief Sean Lewis, Captain Rick Bidwell, President Andy Ellington and 1st Lieutenant General Jenkins. Jenkins and Bidwell both received Firefighter of the Year honors. Bidwell also received the Kenneth “Mr. Mac” McClenney award for most calls run for the 2017 year.
