Hampden-Sydney College’s (H-SC) basketball team rallied in the final minute to ground the visiting No. 23 Emory University Eagles 90-85 on Saturday afternoon.
A turnover-filled and back-and-forth first half saw H-SC go into intermission ahead 35-33 as junior point guard Malik Crute sank a three pointer a few seconds before the halftime buzzer.
Settling in offensively after that, each team scored more than 50 points in the second half.
Tigers sophomore guard/forward Kevin Quinn led all scorers with 26 points.
