Walking the Sara Terry Trail is an enjoyable experience now heightened by the construction of a bird observation platform at the western end of Wilkes Lake, as well as the placement along the trail of signage describing the variety of birds that visit the area.

Many thanks to the Town of Farmville and to the Margaret Watson Bird Club for their generosity and good judgment in offering these gifts to the entire community and to its visitors, something that will be enjoyed by many for years to come.
