Both Dominion Energy and Southside Electric Cooperative (SEC) are reporting power outages in the Heart of Virginia as of Friday evening at 10 p.m.

On its website, Dominion Energy is reporting 1,876 customers have lost power in the Town of Farmville. Investigation is pending for both the estimated time of restoration and the outage cause.

SEC is reporting 834 members have lost power in Prince Edward County, and 57 have lost power in Cumberland County.
