Inclement weather has led to the postponement of a couple of important events in the Heart of Virginia originally slated for this weekend.

The 2017 Cumberland Christmas Parade and the Historical Society Open House have been rescheduled for Sunday, Dec. 17, with the times and locations remaining the same.

The Firemen’s Banquet at Farmville Municipal Golf Course has been rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 16, at 6 p.m.
