Dr. James Hall will serve as the president of the medical staff at Centra Southside Community Hospital, officials from Centra Southside cited in a news release Tuesday.
Hall will take the place of Dr. Kwabena Donkor, the release cited.
“I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude for Dr. Kwabena Donkor and his many years of service as president of the medical staff,” Thomas Angelo, Vice President and CEO of Centra Southside Community Hospital said in the release. “His leadership has been key in adapting and implementing many changes in policy and procedure over the years. We wish him well in his future, and he will be greatly missed.”
“With Dr. Donkor’s retirement, the Medical Executive Committee met last week to elect a new President of the Medical Staff,” Angelo said. Hall was elected to serve as president following the meeting.
Hall will begin his position as president Jan. 1, the release cited.
“Dr. Hall has served as CSCH’s lead Radiologist since 2012 and has been a physician over 25 years,” Angelo said in the release. “He is well respected in the hospital and community and was recently recognized as the 2017 Physician of the year. Please join me in welcoming him to this new role.”
