The Cumberland County Community Food Bank partnering with The Central Virginia Food Bank, A FeedMore Program of Richmond will be distributing food to Cumberland County residents including Cartersville residents on Monday, Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. or until all food is gone at the old Cumberland County Elementary School Cafeteria next door to the gym 1874 Anderson Highway. You must have preregistered to get food or you must see the director Jerry Seal. All food recipients please bring bags. Oak Hill Mennonite Church of Cumberland located on 93 Oak Hill Road in Cumberland, will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving supper, Sunday evening Nov. 19 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Following will be special music featuring “The Oak Hill Quartet” back by popular demand. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
Browns Chapel United Methodist Church located on U.S. Route 15 north of Dillwyn on Gravel Hill Road in Dillwyn will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving Supper Saturday evening Nov. 18 beginning at 6 p.m. Pastor Rebecca Cook and the entire congregation cordially invite all to attend.
Buckingham Baptist located on U.S Route 15 north of Dillwyn at 24234 N. James Madison Highway. will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving lunch Sunday, Nov. 19, following the 11 a.m. worship service. Pastor Bill Gillespie and the entire congregation welcome all to attend.
Cedar Baptist Church located U.S. 15 north of Dillwyn on Bell Road will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving supper Sunday evening Nov. 19 at 5 p.m. Following this will be a short program. Pastor Tommy Armstrong and the entire congregation welcome all with open arms.
Victory Baptist Church of Spout Springs will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving Lunch Sunday, Nov. 19, following the 12:30 p.m. service at the Woodman Of The World building in Appomattox on Harold St. Pastor Jeff Worley and members of Victory Baptist Church invite all to attend.
Happy birthday wishes are sent out this week to the following people. Cheryl Miles, of Richmond, Monday, Nov. 20, and Stephanie Marion, of Cumberland, Wednesday, Nov. 22.
