A 42-year-old Powhatan man was arrested Nov. 7 on a charge of aggravated sexual battery of a victim 13 years or younger.

According to Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Captain Dennis Ownby, Delwood Morris Jr. is being held without bond. Ownby said that at this time the investigation is still ongoing.

According to the Code of Virginia, aggravated sexual battery is a felony punishable by confinement in a state correctional facility for a term of not less than one nor more than 20 years and by a fine of not more than $100,000.
