Visitors of Bear Creek Lake State Park will have the chance to view dazzling holiday lights during its fourth annual “Lights at the Lake” event.

The event will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The start time has changed from its original time at 5 p.m., a release from Virginia State Parks cited.

“In lieu of an event fee, participants are asked to bring a new toy to enter the display area for free,” the release cited. “The toys will be donated to the Cumberland Christmas Mother.”

On Dec. 9-16, participants will be able to create free seasonal crafts at Bear Creek Hall from 3-5 p.m.

On Dec. 10, the Friends of Bear Creek Lake will host a free pancake supper at Bear Creek Hall from 5-7 p.m.

Children are welcome at all events, according to the release.
