Cumberland Garden Club met

The monthly meeting of the Cumberland Garden Club was held Oct. 31 at the Cumberland library. Ms. Jeanne Grunert, a Virginia Cooperative Extension member gave an informative talk on the three varieties of Christmas cactus plants. Different kinds of these plants can be identified by the shape of the leaves and flowers. She also provided information on correct temperatures and amount of light needed by these plants. They also need fertilizer once a month to encourage growth and flowers. Members present were President Elaine Myers, Carol Allen, Pat Parker, Barbara Daniels, Janet Powers, Debbie Boutilier, Pat Adams, Clair and Carol Miller.
