Band wins at competition

The PECHS Marching Eagles attended the “Showcase of Bands,” at Midlothian High School on Oct. 7. Performing their show “Lands of Promise,” the group competed against two other Marching Bands in the categories of Drum Major, Music, General Effect, Visuals, Marching and Percussion. The Marching Eagles swept their competition by winning First place in every category of judging. Not only did the Marching Eagles win every category, they also won the title of “Champion” of the class 1A competition. The Marching Eagles next attended the “Bluestone Band Invitational” the following weekend Oct. 14. Competing in class 2A competition against two other Marching Bands, the Marching Eagles swept Second place in every category as well as Second place in their class. Our final score for the Bluestone Invitational was an 84.85, which is 0.15 points away from a Superior rating.
