On Saturday at 6 p.m., veterans, their families and the general public are welcomed to the Pamplin Train Depot in Pamplin City to a folk dance and dinner to the old time music provided by the Farm Use Band. According to a press release, High Bridge Trail State Park and the Pamplin Area Legacy Supporters (PALS) sponsor the event. The dances are simple and traditional, but challenging enough to be fun for everyone.
“Our pizza dinner is free for veterans, but costs only $5 per non- veteran guest,” officials said in the release. “Experience the heritage of American music that was born in the crossroads of Virginia’s piedmont.”
