Chamber series presents Saxophone Quartet

The Longwood University Chamber Music Series will present a concert by the Washington Saxophone Quartet on Monday, Oct. 23. Free and open to the public, the concert will take place in the Molnar Recital Hall of the Wygal Music Building at 7:30 p.m., with doors open at 7 p.m.
According to a press release, the Washington Saxophone Quartet is the most widely heard saxophone quartet in the U.S. Its music is featured daily on NPR’s “All Things Considered.” Formed in 1976, the quartet has performed recitals, informal concerts and master classes in the U.S., the Caribbean, and China and on radio and television worldwide.
