A good board, keep it

The Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors is composed of a group of serious men who have proven that they can manage their own affairs and have therefore been elected to help manage the affairs of Prince Edward County. Let’s keep it that way. David Emert is running to represent Prospect, but he has had problems managing his own affairs.
In October 2012, November 2014 and again in February 2015 he received Zoning Violations letters from Prince Edward County’s Administrator. These Zoning Violations letters were for his properties on Oliver Road and Hardtimes Road. The November letter was a second notice. His property on Oliver Road across from his mother continues to be an eyesore with no concern for his neighbors! On several occasions over the years, he was found guilty of allowing his cattle to run loose, and in December 2016 alone, he was guilty of five offenses in Prince Edward County District Court and had to pay the maximum in fines. Equally as worrisome is the fact that on two different occasions, he has had civil actions taken against him because of his refusal to pay for the damages his cows caused when they trespassed.
In February 2017 Mr. Emert’s mother was sent a letter Re: Public Nuisance — she owns the land where Mr. Emert keeps his cows — when David Emert’s cows again got out and” could have wandered onto a public road and caused an accident.” This letter was Pursuant to Virginia Code Section 48-3 and signed by the County Attorney Mr. Ennis.
Prince Edward County has a good board of supervisors. Let’s keep it that way. Vote for Calvin L. Gray to represent Prospect.
