Town recognizes Christmas Mother

The Heart of Virginia Christmas Mother was recently honored by the Town of Farmville with a plaque recognizing the organization for its generosity in the community. The plaque notes the organization helps “achieve the purpose of serving the community by providing for those in need with clothes, toys, books and other gift items during the holiday season.” The plaque will hang in town hall and will feature the name of each Christmas Mother. Inaugural Christmas Mother Nancy Haga, left, stands with Farmville Town Manager Gerald Spates and Prince Edward Commonwealth’s Attorney Megan Clark, who is serving as the 2017 Christmas Mother. We commend the organization and its volunteers for the work they do in ensuring children in our community have a joyful Christmas.
