James Edward Crews, 69, of Dillwyn, went to be with his Lord and Savior at his home on August 9, 2017.  He was born October 12, 1947 in Charlottesville, a son of the late Wilbur and Marjorie Crews.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  Jimmy was a member of George Masonic Lodge #32 of Howardsville. 

Jimmy is survived by a daughter, Tanya Wood and her husband, Robert; three brothers; Wilbur H. Crews, Jr., John R. Crews and his wife, Linda and Richard L. Crews and his wife, Melody; granddaughter, Brittany Wilkerson and her husband, Tony; great-granddaughter, Crystal Ann Wilkerson; two step-granddaughters, Cassidy Tyson and McKenzie Daly and a special friend, Tom England and his four-legged best friend, Jake.

Funeral service was held August 13, 2017 at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery, Howardsville. Dunkum Funeral Home served the family.
